Danny + Erica | Country Wedding at Sassafras Springs in Mid Missouri | KB Photos & Design

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Erica and Danny Gibson! What a beautiful fall wedding day they had at Sassafras Springs Farm in Eldon, Missouri. Pumpkins, colorful mums, turkeys and corn stalks filled the property with all the touches of country charm.

After getting ready, Danny and Erica chose to do a First Look together before the ceremony. We set up a private reveal moment for the two of them to see each other before the walk down the aisle. I love a good reveal! Erica had also sewed a special note into the back of Danny’s tie, one of her many thoughtful touches to their wedding day. Afterwards we got some beautiful photos of bride and groom as a couple. That halo sun-kissed glow behind them: chef’s kiss!

When the bridesmaids and groomsmen joined us, we had a little fun walking around the property while wearing some epic sunglasses that said “I Do Crew” on the side. Danny also popped a bottle of celebratory champagne to celebrate, but truth be told it was completely stuck and took a knife and a solid 5 minutes to pop. His groomsmen were giving him some real trouble! Once it finally popped, the cork soared 30 feet into the air and we think it landed on the roof of the cabin behind us (see their faces!).

Danny and Erica are lovers of the outdoors and love to spend time in nature, so it was fitting that their ceremony was held outdoors by the lake. Candles, wood stumps, and flowers lined the altar area as they said I Do. After the vows, they even planted a budding tree together as a sign of growth in their relationship. The symbolism was really touching.

It was such an honor to be part of their wedding day! Take a peek at just a fraction of the wedding photos from their day below. Wishing them all the happiness and love in the world. Congrats you two! 💕

Louis + Katie | Destination Wedding to The Old Swiss Village at Lake of the Ozarks Missouri | KB Photos & Design

“Life was meant for good friends and great adventures.” This quote comes to mind when I think about Louis and Katie’s beautiful destination wedding weekend to the Lake of the Ozarks. Bride Katie’s family owns a condo nearby, so they’ve spent many seasons enjoying the lake life, and they wanted their friends and family in St. Louis to enjoy it as well. Weekend trip to paradise!

They chose an exceptionally beautiful place to have their wedding - the outdoor patio of Michael’s Steak Chalet. Nestled in the hills of the Old Swiss Village in Osage Beach, their ceremony site sits atop a bluff that overlooks miles of pristine water at the Lake of the Ozarks. It was fun to hear the gentle hum of the boats passing by as they said I Do. Side note: EVERYONE should look at each other on their wedding day like Katie and Louis did when they walked down the aisle towards each other (scroll to see!).

After their ceremony, they cut their decorated cake and Michael’s served their famous steak dinners in buffet style. Then toasts were made by the best man, maid of honor, and the bride’s father, which the bride and groom enjoyed with a mixture of laughter, tears, and hugs.

Congratulations to Louis and Katie on your beautiful wedding and new life together! Cheers to the happy couple!

Ryan + Molly | Missouri Wedding at Osage National Golf Resort Lake of the Ozarks | KB Photos & Design

Ryan and Molly are such genuinely kind and joyful people, so naturally their wedding day was full of love and JOY!  A St. Louis couple, they chose to have a destination wedding to the Osage National Golf Course in central Missouri.

Usually there’s that one moment on a wedding day where I cry happy tears - but on Molly and Ryan’s wedding day, there were SO MANY tears of joy moments! I can’t possibly pick my favorite. You’ll just have to scroll to see it all.

Their day started out with a sweet exchange of gifts and notes to each other, and then they had a wonderful First Look moment between bride and groom.

Then we borrowed an army of golf carts (thanks Osage National staff!) and drove around the course to some gorgeous spots to take photos of the wedding party and just the two of them. Lakes, streams, golf cart paths and tunnels made for some dreamy backdrops to their beautiful day.

Surrounded by family and friends, they wed on the lawn in front of the clubhouse. Then their friends and family enjoyed a fun night with an Italian buffet and dancing at the reception to Elite Lighting and Sound’s great entertainment and music.

Much love and congratulations to Ryan and Molly on your beautiful new life together!

And thank you to Saint Louis Bride Magazine for featuring this gorgeous real wedding in your Spring 2022 Issue!

Michael + Samantha | Missouri Wedding at The Exchange Venue in Camdenton | KB Photos & Design

Michael and Samantha were the best! I knew as soon as we started talking about their wedding date that we would hit it off. We did their spring engagement session in the pouring down rain, in which I convinced them to wade into the lake water to get some cool water shots at the end, and they were absolute adventurous troopers. A photographer’s dream! By the time we got to their wedding day, we had that comfort level like that of old friends, which is a special kind of awesome. But I did promise them No more water!

Michael and Samantha got married at The Exchange Venue in central Missouri. It’s a beautiful urban location in the heart of downtown Camdenton, Missouri that’s an amazing industrial chic type of event space. Bride Samantha weaved so many beautiful details into the day - it was just gorgeous. And one of my favorite parts of the day were the First Looks. Samantha is the poster bride for why you should do a first look with a parent!

I was so honored to take part in photographing their fall wedding day at The Exchange Venue, surrounded by friends and family. We even had a chance to take a quick side trip to HaHa Tonka State Park to capture some beautiful wedding photos in the cave area.

See my favorite photos below for a little recap of Michael and Samantha’s day tying the knot!
