Matt + Becky | Destination Wedding to Margaritaville Resort Lake of the Ozarks | KB Photos & Design

Congratulations Matt and Becky on your beautiful wedding at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake of the Ozarks! When these two contacted me about their destination wedding to the Lake, I quickly discovered their love for one another, and also their love for The Ozarks tv show! They chose to travel from Altoona, Wisconsin to the Lake of the Ozarks Missouri with 20 of their closest friends and family for a real Ozarks vacation experience. It did not disappoint!

The whole wedding day was amazing from start to finish, but here are just a few of my favorites of the day - including a few moments from their first look, their lakeside vows, and an especially funny toast/jingle by Becky's sisters. To many years of happiness and love!

Senior Alair | Lake of the Ozarks Destination Missouri Senior Session | KB Photos & Design

I had such a great time photographing senior Alair! Her mom called me months before her session and said that the family was traveling to Lake of the Ozarks for vacation, and her daughter Alair wanted to do her senior photos while they were here. What a great idea!

We took advantage of all the beauty that August in Missouri has to offer: beautiful hanging greenery, flowery backdrops, and serene lake waters. It reminded me of the quote: “She is like a flower; beautiful, fierce and free.” These were the perfect backdrops for a senior girl who’s beautiful both inside and out. Fun fact: she did most of her session barefoot, because that’s just how she rolls!

Congratulations to Senior Alair, Class of 2022! And thank you to Senior Muse Magazine for featuring Alair’s senior photo in your Fall publication!

Marissa + Billy | Wedding at Shawnee Bluff Winery at Lake of the Ozarks | KB Photos & Design

What a wonderful wedding day for two exceptionally wonderful people! Marissa and Billy are two of the most thoughtful, down-to-earth people I’ve met, with an authentic love for live and each other. From the moment we met, to their planning meetings, I knew their wedding day was going to be a special one.

Their wedding venue at Shawnee Bluff Vineyard in Lake Ozark, Missouri was the perfect all-in-one place to get ready and to have the ceremony and reception celebration. We did their first look under a big beautiful tree, and the moment brought tears to their eyes and to mine! Then we loaded up in the van to take photos in the grape vineyards with their wedding party in tow. Photos with your best friends should be fun, and these certainly were!

They got married in the gorgeous outdoor ceremony space by none other than my husband, Andy, and then we headed into the barn for the reception. After an awesome dinner catered by Shawnee Bluff, the band Sax on the Beach moved the night along with sweet music. Marissa and Billy’s first dance brought joyful tears to everyone in the room! The night was topped off by some fun moments, including some funny toasts by their wedding party, cutting into a completely frozen wedding cake (oops!), and a bride and groom sunset photo session in the grapevines.

I enjoyed every moment of Marissa and Billy’s wedding day at Shawnee Bluff Vineyard at the Lake of the Ozarks, and I hope you see their love through these pictures. See my favorite moments from their wedding day below. I was so honored to be there to witness and capture it all!

Braden + Aimie | Lake of the Ozarks Missouri waterfront wedding | KB Photos & Design

Ahhhh Braden and Aimie - these two lovebirds were a dream to photograph and a joy to get to know! They chose to wed at Braden’s aunt’s newly bought lake home in Lake Ozark, Missouri. Their families were so sweet, working overtime to get the place ready - including pulling bushes and planting flowers - just days before the big day. By the morning of the wedding, there were decorations, tables were set, and flowers were covering the railings and dock. What a transformation!

It was such a beautiful and heartfelt lakeside ceremony, followed by a relaxed dinner by the water and a cake cutting. Before too long, there was a little dance party going on the dock. We also managed to take the boat out around the cove to capture some classic panoramic views of the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. It was a truly magical day all around, and I’m so happy for these two. Congrats Braden and Aimie - may you have a lifetime of happiness and love!
