Ainsley | Missouri High School Senior | KB Photos & Design

It was such a JOY to take senior Ainsley’s photos last week! We went to visit her family’s farm and take photos under the big tree among the changing leaves. I love capturing memories at special places for my high school seniors! Then we followed the farm visit with a pit stop at my favorite lake spot for some beautiful shots as the sun set. The sky turned purple and it was incredible.

Congratulations Ainsley, soon to be high school graduate!

Nathan + Alexis | Lake of the Ozarks wedding at The Lodge of Four Seasons | KB Photos & Design

This summer I had the privilege of photographing a beautiful intimate wedding at The Lodge of Four Seasons for the sweetest couple. Bride Alexis called me in early spring, and as soon as we started talking I knew we’d hit it off. She and her fiance Nathan were planning a laid-back destination wedding to the Lake of the Ozarks from three hours drive away in Kahoka, Missouri, and they needed a photographer. I was so glad they found me, and we quickly started planning every detail of their ceremony and special day. A few months later, they married in the serene Japanese Gardens at The Lodge of Four Seasons, with a beautiful lake view in the background. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Nathan and Alexis said I Do.

Congratulations Nathan and Alexis - may you have a lifetime of happiness together!

Eric + Nicki | Destination wedding to Margaritaville Lake Resort at Lake of the Ozarks | KB Photos & Design

Eric and Nicki’s wedding was amazing! When we first met, they told me how they wanted a laid back, easy going wedding day that would allow their friends and family to have a mini vacation. They chose to have a destination wedding to Margaritaville Lake Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri. Each of their families made the drive from Iowa to watch Eric and Nicki tie the knot at a lakeside wedding, followed by a casual cocktail hour, dinner reception and epic dance party. Highlights included a super sweet First Look for the bride and groom, the picturesque backdrop as they said I Do, the lighting of the unity candle with their children in tow, the special “full moon” congratulations from a boater as we took wedding party photos, a quirky game of couples shoes, and some groovy moves that Nicki’s step dad was putting down on the dance floor. All in all, this was a fun group and a lovely couple, and I’m so glad I was able to be part of their big day!
