I was so excited when my sweet friend Patti and her boyfriend Toni got engaged! Patti is one of my adventurous friends and had been taking a class to learn the Swahili language when she met Toni - cause who doesn’t just take up a new language when they want to learn something new? Toni had been living in Kansas for a while but most of his family was from Nyeri, Kenya, so the language came naturally to him. I was ecstatic to be asked to photograph their wedding day as they tied the knot!

And let me tell you, these two…they are the absolute best. They are some of the most warm, generous and genuine people that I know. It was an absolute honor to photograph the joining of their two families in marriage and in culture. What a FUN wedding this was!
