Aaron and Kristen wanted a classic St. Louis engagement session, and they definitely got it! Aaron and Kristen told me they loved spending time with their dogs, visiting breweries, and watching Cardinals baseball, so we knew the urban vibes of the City would be our backdrop. Aaron actually proposed at a downtown restaurant nearby! We planned to capture their love of Cardinals baseball and their love of their pups while visiting some iconic STL locations for their engagement photoshoot.
I love when couples incorporate a shared interest or way they spend time together - it adds so much meaning to engagement photos! As Cardinals fans, these two lovebirds (pun intended) wanted photos in front of Busch Stadium, the home of the Cardinals baseball team. We made our way along crosswalks and under bridges until we reached the downtown streets in front of the stadium. They wore their Cards jerseys and brought a baseball with their wedding day printed on it. We also rounded the corner to Ballpark Village, a must-visit location for any baseball fan, and got some more candid and romantic shots of them. This bride-to-be and groom-to-be were certainly in their element!
Then we made our way to the Saint Louis Art Museum in Forest Park. I love romping around this area of Forest Park and using the iconic architecture and scenery to draw attention in to the couple. I kept offering prompts to Aaron and Kristen while I photographed their shared love. So many magical in-between moments were captured. It’s the little touches, the whispers in her ear, the looks as they walked together. It was a dreamy spot that made for beautiful engagement photos.
What a privilege to photograph this super sweet and FUN couple’s engagement. Congratulations to Aaron and Kristen on this new phase of your lives, and your upcoming summer wedding in 2024!
